Dear all,
While I try to get the SMTP AUTH to work, I am using "relay_mail_from" feature, to prevent being a open relay.
I know relay_mail_from is not full proof. I am working on SMTP AUTH and STARTTLS
Still testing and still not working.. been reading and testing for almost a month.
I have built my mc file with FEATURE(relay_mail_from)dnl. Double confirm the cf file and it's there.
Put the "From:senderdomain.com" in my access file but I still cannot send out emails from this domain.
However if I put the ispdomain.com, then this senderdomain can send out emails.
This will also mean all user from ispdomain.com will be able to relay thru my mail server. I do not want this.
What did I do wrong and how can I rectify it? Is it the sequence in the mc file?
/etc/mail/access
From:senderdomain.com RELAY
/var/log/maillog

Any ideas/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
BTW: anyone know if slackware will bundle sendmail with SMTP AUTH and STARTTLS in next/future version?
