reinstalled windows, boot data erased, now what

hi

this may sound stupid, but i had to reinstalll my windows, and by reinstalling it , i erased the boot data... now the system directly boots to windows, no lilo in between.

the question is ... can reinstall the lilo boot data without using rescue disk? ... i think there should be a way to just install the boot data

Not really ... not easily.
But what's the problem with using
a rescue/boot disk? :)

Yeah, if you not_so_intelligently_but_so_much_brave didn't got your rescue disk done at installation time, you can still have it done from windows, by looking inside your 1st linux CD.
(makeboot.bat or bootdisks or whatever)
