Redis start error

Have installed redis but am unable to start it, it gives the error:
Code:
/etc/init.d/redis start
/etc/init.d/redis: line 100: condrestart: command not found
/etc/init.d/redis: line 100: try-restart: command not found
/etc/init.d/redis: line 100: force-reload}”: command not found
Line 100 says:
Quote:
echo $”Usage: $0 {start|stop|status|restart|condrestart|try-restart|reload|force-reload}”
Any ideas what's wrong?
EDIT
It seems the script is scoo whiff so will mark as solved.
