redhat not booting
Hi there. Ok i got a bit of a major problem here I think. I was trying to install MySQL when redhat crashed. Then on reboot it stopped part way through and asked for either the root password of it says to press CONTROL - D. It also says to do a fsck.
If I press CONTROL - D it reboots and gets stuck at the same place. If I put in the root password and do fsck nothing happens. So eventually I have to do the CONTROL - D and once again get stuck in the same place. Hope someone out there can help. This is the second time this has happened. Previously I had to reinstall redhat. |
Have you tried running fsck with the -f (force) option?

I had the same thing happen before when a hard drive went bad.
