Redhat 9 problems
I am running Linux Redhat 9 and I have two problem
1) Where do I go to turn off sleep mode for the monitor. Once the machine goes to sleep, clicking the mouse or any keyboard will not cause it to wake up ? 2) When the machine goes to sleep and won 't wake up, I have to reboot RedHat 9. When reboot, it said files are corrupted because of improper shutdown. I run fsck -a and fsck -p but it does not fix the problem. Linh |
The KDE Control Center can configure "Power Control"
Does fsck give you an error message when it "doesn't work"? |

Quote:
start->Control Center Then expand the "Power Control" node Click on "Laptop Battery" Click on "Power Control" tab Note: /usr/bin/apm has to be SUID root for this to work You can do that by opening a terminal and doing this: su chmod u+s /usr/bin/apm exit kcontrol |
