Redhat 9 module dependencies, help???

I tried to write this yesterday, but was not in my own thread. I am brand new to Linux, and downloaded Redhat 9 distro to load up on my system:

AMD 2000XP
ASUS Tek A7N266-VM mobo
Hauppauge Wintv pci
generic firewire card
maxtor 80 gig ide
western digtal 60 gig ide
dvd rom
cd-rw
dual boot XP

every time I try to start Linux I get this module dependencies and a system halt, and pressing "I" has not worked to get an interactive boot? Am I too slow, oh yeah it's the logitech cordless keyboard and mouse [the black an grey set] can it be lag?? I am stuck, but have been a computer technician for eleven years, with mostly hardware and DOS, Windows, Novell experience.

Can someone help me conver to Linux??

Thanks in advance

Eric Lindhardt

Did the install detect all devices?
Can you describe (the more accurately the better) what errors it shows?

I'm sorry, you can kill this thread if you want. I have read and researched Linux further and I have decided to switch to Slackware 9 and really learn it. I went into this with the idea that the Redhat GUI setup would catch everything and be ready to boot after wards. Now I am at 72% of downloading Slackware9 from ftp, and I have all the tarballz of drivers for my systems hardware ready. I am sure I am not ready, but all my important stuff is backed up so if I have to repartition the system a few times to get it right I don't care. I will just keep reading and I am sure I will have more questions in the future [near]

Thanks
Eric Lindhardt
