Smile Redhat 7.3 ftp directory tree. Easy one

Hi all,

Ok I have on a hard disk the three discs needed for redhat. They are in directories Disk1, Disk2 Disk3, each disk was simply copied into the appropriate directories and they are not in ISO format.

I now need to install on another machine via FTP, I need to know what the structure is again on the ftp server if I remember correctly it’s something like;

1. Create a directory called redhat.
2. In that directory create one called base
3. In base create RPMS and the .diskx-i386 files have to go somewhere.

That’s as far as I remember. Can anyone show me the correct directory structure to perform an ftp installation?

Cheers

Here's the directory structure we use when mass installing linux boxen:

Redhat/base/
Redhat/RPMS/

then copy the base dir from CD1 to Redhat/base/ and copy
all the RPMS dir contents to Redhat/RPMS
