Red Hat with samba, which files to backup???
 

I have samba running and I would like to save the "critical" files so I can recreate the basic user structure quickly.

Please list the names of the files.

what do you mean by the "basic user structure"

what exactly do you want to keep? users files? config files?

if you want to keep users stuff, backup the /home directory/partition

If the computer dies I like to be able to re-create the user IDs with the appropriate permissions. This was I won't have to add all the user IDs manually.
