Red Hat 9 Vide Display Size Problem
I click on system utilities / Display settings so I can change my video display from 800x600 to 1024x768.
When doing so a message box appears saying I need to log out and restart X.
How do I restart X?
I have rebooted several times thinking this will restart X.
If this is not how I restart X, pleaes tell me how to...
Thank you!

If you rebooted the system, then yes. X is restarted.
If you are unable to obtain a resolution higher than 800x600, your monitor settings may have not been configured correctly.
If you need more help, please tell us which Linux distribution you are using.

In the menu, System Settings -> Display
Or
At the command line, type: redhat-config-xfree86
If your monitor is not on the list, try using a generic setting.
