recompiling kernel for dual processsors

hi,

anybody know a good how to , for recompiling a kernel to use dual processors?? please keep in mind i am a newbie...

so one how to who explains this in steps please...

well the best i can say is go here and read the article i wrote about compiling a kernel, and when you are doing make menuconfig (or whichever you chose) make sure you enable SMP support....thats as basic as i can explain it...

meanwhile i found out that this kernel for dual processors was on the red hat site and that i just could apt get him....

mmm i love easy solutions..

but i am sure i will have to use your article one of these days because i like toooo much to mess around in things
