Recompile error

Im trying to recompile the kernel for the first time and I was met with this error when attempting to:
make bzImage

Code:

Root device is (3, 2) 
Boot sector 512 bytes. Setup is 4910 bytes. 
System is 1142 kB 
warning: kernel is too big for standalone boot from floppy 
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-2.4.20-30.9/arch/i386/boot'

Is this something I should really worry about?

nope. it's fine. you might want to push somethings out to modules rather than beign in the image itself, but it's not a problem.

btw, please use more useful thread titles, e.g. "warning: kernel is too big for standalone boot from floppy" would have been a much better title.
