Recommended Weblog Publishing System?

Hi, I am in charge of the maintenance of the server of one organisation in my school now. I would like to have a weblog publishing system so that those who don't know much about technologies can update the web site, too.

I have thought of Movable Type but I don't like it since its licenses are a bit confusing to me. Are there any good(and totally free) alternatives out there, which work well with Apache, MySQL and PHP? If possible, I would like to manage a photo gallery on the web site, too.

How about WordPress ?

MT and WordPress seem to be the big ones out there.

I also use Wordpress, but I've heard some good things about Drupal

WordPress is incredible, I'd go with that
