recommendation for certification

Does anyone out there have any recommendations on what the best linux cert. is? I keep hearing a lot about LPI, but I am kind of leaning towards the RHCE. What do you guys recommend? Thanks.

LPI will basically cover all flavors of Linux. RHCE will cover basically getting certified with Redhat in mind. If it was me and I had the money, I would just do both eventually.

Take them both like tricky said. You can't go wrong.

Yes, that's the thing. My company has offered to get me training for one. I just wanted to hear from you guys and see what people had to say. Which one do you guys think holds more weight in the market? Anyone that took the tests, what did you think about them?

Well if you can get your company to pay for them, try to get them to send you to the Redhat boot camp where they have their training then test you there. Its like a week long but hey, if your company pays for it.. couldn't beat that. :)
