Rebooting Locked up Linux Machine?

Hi all;
My linux machine died tonight, I can still ping it, but I THINK it
ran out of Memory. I am not able to access SSH at all, httpd, ftp is down as well. I was wondering if there is any way to reboot the box remotely since I can still ping it? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Unless you can get a shell opened (telnet, SSH, etc) I doubt it. I could be wrong, if you have some other service (webmin?) that can reboot the system remotely.

lol, I can't get anything :( I do have webmin installed, but I don't keep it activated.. DOH! I know RHN used to have a 'schedule reboot' option, but I can't find that anywhere.. :(

Any suggestions? I know the RHN could reboot your CPU, but I don't see the option to reboot from the rhn website anymore :( Of course, right when I need it, lol.. Fixing to drive 2 hours to the west to get it back up.. arghhhhhhh.. lol road trip..

Am I the only one that thinks RH having the ability to reboot your machine remotely is a bit frightening? I am at a loss buddy. Anyone else have any ideas?

Hmm...

Call your power company and see if they can toggle the power? ;)

Is there anyone near the machine that you could have do it for you?

I finally had someone reboot it, I should invest in a power remote reboot switch, lol. At first, when I was on the phone with the person rebooting it, scared the crap out of me.. said something abotu the AIC_7XXX errors (which is the controller) so he rebooted it, and it wouldn't come back up.. It just hung at Initializing vmlinux. I just had him power it off for about 10 minutes, brought it back up, it booted up fine.. Except it only had 6 MB Free memory.. I hurried and bu my stuff, rebooted, and then all the memory was free.. weird stuff.. lol..
