rebooting into a different OS

Hi all,

KDM has an option where you click on reboot and then select which lilo entry to boot into. I was wondering if there is a similar way (not Mandrake-specific) to reboot from the COMMAND LINE into a specific lilo/grub entry. Just any way of choosing which kernel or OS would be loaded at only the next boot would be nice without having to manually change the default setting in lilo or grub.

Any ideas?

- Phil

I have not heard of any such stuff. I always reboot and then manually select the entry from my boot loader.

I am not sure if such utility exists for the command line.

Code:
man shutdown
Maybe you can pass it a parameter of this type, dunno since I am not on Linux right now.
