Question Really Lame Timezone question

Running RH72. Just upgraded to KDE3 and my time got all funky. I set it properly via /usr/sbin/timeconfig. Then this morning it was off by hour cause of daylight savings time. I know how to set my timezone and how to change the date/time. But I'm confused about one thing... during the RH72 install it asks you for your timezone (UTC offset) and let's you check a box saying you use daylight savings time. However, if I change the date/time in the KDE clock panel or in a shell, I don't see the 'daylight savings time' option. So I can manually fix it, but twice a year everything'll get all whacked up and I'll have to manually fix it. Suggestions? Ideas?
