Real newbie seeking info for learning.

Hi everyone, I'm new to the community and I'm what we can call a real newbie. I'd like to learn linux cuz I'm really starting to hate Windows (for which I'm glad to say I haven't paid a thing).
Anyhow, I'm looking for some good websites with complete HOWTO's for people who's never used Linux before. I don't even know how to mount a drive, that can make you understand how poor my knowledge is on Linux.
So, I really don't know what to start with, what do you suggest?

For any Mandrake users out there, don't forget the tutorials and things on Mandrake Campus.

It's a useful site.
