Reading md5sum?


-What is the md5sum?
-How can I read and compare the CD with md5sum.txt?

the md5sum is:

271a5f823c58cf1271bee4b31a87668d VL4.0-rc1.iso

-and what I need to have in the CD?

You mean you already have the VL4.0-rc1.iso file and want to checksum it, or have that on a cd and want to check it burned ok?
For the first one, open a terminal in the same directory as the file and type md5sum VL4.0-rc1.iso and compare the output code.
