read apache account mail's!!

hi,

i have question, where can i found the body of the sent mail from the apache account .

for the human account its in /var/mail

sorry for my English

Artanicus 05-08-2006 03:21 AM

usually apache, root, mailerdaemon, etc etc are aliases to either root or some user. IF thats not the case with your setup, then they ought to be in the same place as the user's mailfiles AFAIK

aha i c, thankx Artanicus.
But does it show all sent email's!
because all what i found is a failed, delayed and system messages in the /var/mail/root. in /var/log/maillog is shown that alote of emails was sent.
how can i view the body of those sent mail's !

thankx

Aaaa.. Now I see what youre looking for.. (:
The outgoing messages arn't stored anywhere, I don't think that many legislations would even consider that legal (:
The /var/mail/* files are for incoming mail, not outgoing.

aha, i was asking for that because one of my friends have a server and some one hacked in to it and did phishing attack from it, many emails sent to his email from victims.

thanks Artanicus
