rc.d with K to stop the process...

I tried out the tpconfig app and it completey shutoff my ability to use my tap feature on the laptop touch pad. I thought if I prevented it from running in both rc3.d and rc5.d it would fix everything but it still has no tap feature eventhough Ive added the K in front of the link to prevent it from starting up.

Is there anyway to get the tap feature back on my touchpad?

My soulution seemed to work though on the initial reboot it did not. Strange. After letting my laptop sit over night and then rebooting in the morning everything seemed back to normal.
