RAR Files in Linux & Split


Hi,

I have a debian server.

I have install UNRAR , but i want to know if i can somehow RAR files on Linux, and also split them.

sorry if i posted in wrong forum..

There exists RAR for Linux at least, which should be capable of that (never tried myself, but I guess it works; it's not freeware or anything, though). Not sure if any/which open source solutions do that..

P.S. a web search for "rar for linux" gave several hits, did you try?

hello.

I have google, the only thing that it comes up with is to unrar on server.

7zip? heard that it support rar as well.

can you please tell me syntax of TAR
which will make arcs of a file
(say 150MB each)

With that, you can unpack any kind of stuffs you have
