Raid 5 Expansion
 
I have a Raid 5 on my RedHat 7.2 install. I want to add another disk to the Raid 5. Do I half to re-install?

Nevermind but...
 
RedHat is so quick to reload I just started it from CD & recreated the raid. It is a RAID 5 161 gigs. The disks are ATA 100 7200 RPM. Does anyone know about how long it will take to synchronize? It has been crunching away for about an hour now.

Four hard drives make up the RAID 5.

It took about about 90 minutes.
 
I had read on the net' it took someone 22 hours for their RAID to synchronize so I wuz kinda worried with the amount of gigs involved.
