RAID 1 problems (during boot)

Ah lads ... near disaster over here ...

Dont know what could have happened. Had my Gentoo up for much longer than usual (about 4 days). Had a bit of trouble when shutting down. Dont know why, but it hung when trying to stop mysqld. Eventually it got over it and shut down. I booted up later and it choked as it was out of space (/var was full). It brought me to a console, where I cleared /var/tmp and another large file in /var. Rebooted, and then the trouble started.

It began by showing me a new screen during BIOS. Cant remember exactly what it said but it was about the RAID.

It would then go to "Loading Grub" where it hung. After many attempts the boot then brought me to a RAID setup screen where it claimed that the RAID was broken.

Im panicing by now, till eventually I remember that /boot is RAID 1. So I change the boot order to use the backup /boot partition, and I got in.

The point is, one of my /boot RAID 1 partitions (at least/best) seems to be boned. What do I do to fix it?
