Radeon kernal patch?

I am just wondering if there is a patch out there somewhere for my ati radeon 7000 pci card to get dri working? And if someone could PLEASE point me to a place I would greatly appreciate it. Also I have never installed a patch before so maybe a point to, or a simple howto? I just want to play games at more then 4 fps like tux racer or something?

Thanks for any help!

I am using Libranet 2.4.21

I feel your pain. I had a Radeon VE - similar to the 7000. It worked great under win, but there aren't (weren't) any good drivers out there for Linux. There are two options in the kernel for Radeon, but neither of them worked well for my VE. I now have a new nVIDIA card that works great. Sold the old Radeon.
