quiet sound problem

Hello guys

I had install gOS 3 on my Sylvania gnet 13001 and the problem is the sound is really quiet and it wasn't that quiet when it was running xp so please could anybody help me and by the way can anybody tells me a good program for running flv avi and mp4 (I had vlc player but it only plays sound and because it's very quiet I believe even it doesn't play it) and YouTube downloader

I don't know anything about gOS, but if you can open up a terminal, you can usually type in "alsamixer" and press enter, and this will bring up a sound mixer that you can adjust with the arrow keys.

VLC should be able to play all the files you mentioned. It does on my system.

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking for with the YouTube question, but there is a program available here that can download youtube videos (in multiple formats):
