questions about LimeWire

Hey all! I have used nutella clients before and know how they work, But I know that the windows verson of LimeWire has "ad serving software". I was wondering if the Linux verson has it. I don't usually like to install software that comes bundled with ad stuff..

Whell thankyou for the info!

Well, there is an ad box at the bottom selling some MP3 adapter. And there was some ad for Paypal too. So I guess the answer is yes

i can never understand why so many people spend so much time desperately trying to get limewire to work when there are LOTS of VERY fast, identical native gnutella clones freely available... so, can i ask you WHY you want the nasty, slow, fat and ugly LimeWire instead of Qtella, gtk-gnutella, napshare, gnut and anyone of the others...? Are you not aware of them? i can see how limewire will tend to be more well known...

Sorry, Chypmunk, I guess I don't know about that other stuff. I thought you just meant the ads themselves hehe

acid_kewpie, that's exactly why I downloaded it. I wasn't aware of those others, but I will look into them now!

mee 2.. I knew there were some others, But thought that they were just openNAP ones.. nutella is alot better.. Now that I have my firewall up and running, I will be using linux as a primary operating system instead of wintendo.. I also have to get WINE working properly so I can use some of my vital windows programs..

Whell, thanx..
