I am out of ideas because I don't have your gear.

Quote:
I came here for help from others that may have had similar issues. Seen the errors etc.
So I cannot replicate your issues. Not having your tablet.
It has been a month and no else with your gear has come forward.
So guys like us just stumble in and try to assist.

Others with the same gear seem to do OK.

So that ought to tell you something I would think. I know that/my post don't help much.

That was one reason I quit computer gaming. In Odd World. I would just get to a point where I would bump into a wall. Then get no further. I figured. " I guess I am no gamer. Time to quit".

To give another Example.

I have AntiX running on my Acer C710 chromebook that I have been the original owner of.
I was so pleased with how I got that done. I got cocky and bought another used chromebook C710, not booting, one
from ebay real cheap. About the price of a chinese laptop battery.

I restored chromeOS Parrot on it. Put it in Developer mode. Took it apart and jumpered write protect like I did on mine. No Joy. Write protect still enabled. So I dug in further and tried all kinds of different ways to jumper out write protect. Latest is chemical solder syringe. Still. Write protect is enabled.

There. I have one unit that works as advertised. Another that does not. Both made by same manufacture. Both the same model and specs. Procedures done by the same dude with success before. But with 2 different results/outcomes.

Go figure.

Well i tried to install the Xubuntu now , not just run it from the USB.

I get the power supply error message 1/2 way into the install. Wont power off do had to hold power button 20 sec to power down.

I have a feeling ill be sending this back and getting a dell.

Keeps erroring out with powerfupply akp288_fuel_gauge: driver failed to report 'charge now' property: -6
over and over. from what i read this is a bug. Dont know when or if it will ever be resolved.

Appears the latest code does not work on this device.
This has nothing to do with me not trying everything under the sun to get it to work.

I do appreciate the input from others. I just felt that other persons remarks were not productive after i put so much time into this.

update : Tried it again stuck on creating user for 1.5 hrs now. Me thinks its not working.
