question about filesystem setup .....
Hi. I have a 30gig HDD partitioned in 2 parts Win98/Linux
Win98 is on the first have of the disk How come when I type the command df it lists /dev/hda7 <somestuff> / /dev/hda5/ <somestuff> /boot none <somestuff> /dev/shm My question is How come if Win98 is hda1 Linux doesnt start it's filesystem at hda2 and further Instead it starts at hda5? Did I do something wrong at install? Linux seems to work fine. curious thanks :) |
First don't say Linux, Linux is just the kenrel. I's a minor but
important mistake most people make :) Alway state you distro. use fdisk or cfdisk or diskdruid to see the entire disk. and post output. |
