Quake 2 in Linux

After the source was released I downloaded the linux version of Quake II after the source was released. When i try to run it it says that it can't load default.cfg or config.cfg. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

www.linuxgaming.com can help you but you still need either the quake II demo (windows files) for demo in linux or the real games windows files for the whole game.

I used the demo and it has crashed me twice but I was able to play. If you're a big fan of Quake II it might be worth it but otherwise I wouldn't bother.
