Qtella can't get through ports?

Using qtella to fileshare - have iptables installed, which is managed by guarddog gui.

However, after trying to run qtella after a long break, it can't connect to other servers. I've disabled the firewall to see if it was that, but it made no difference.

Any ideas? Is there any way of finding what could be blocking 6347 (if that is the port - not sat at my linux box at the mo).

you say after a long break, so it works when you first boot the machine or what?

A long break means I haven't used filesharing for a couple of months - then come back and try and run it, and it won't connect any more.

oh

Maybe it's your isp blocking it, though not likely they would block one of the higher ports

try shutting down the firewall and test it
