Unhappy qmail problem

Hi guys,
I need your help to solve my problem.
I've installed qmail on a linux box (redhat 7.1) recently.I read "life with qmail" and followed the directions carefully. Then i tried to test the qmail delivery system according to TEST.deliver
but I can't get the mail through pine . how can i config pine to read messages from somewhere other than /var/spool/mail/$user for example from ./Maildir/ or ./Mailbox in user directory.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you
Thank you very much in advance
