PS3: Yellow Dog USB Keyboard Error:Infinite Loop on Boot
On boot, if my USB keyboard is plugged in (or plugged in after the initial boot, but still in the kboot program), an infinite loop of
drivers/usb/input/hid-core.c: input irq status -32 received is displayed, until the system decides to shut itself down. One single time I got it to work, accidentally, by pressing "num lock" during boot, but I have yet to be able to replicate this incident, despite efforts. I Googled this, and it seems adding said device to a "noget blacklist" should fix my problem, but I believe this would require me having already installed the operating system. (Which, obviously, I haven't, since the keyboard does not function, as of yet.) If there is a possible alternate boot-system that I could use, or anything that anyone knows of, I'd appreciate it so much. Thanks. |
I'm totally not sure about this, but don't you need a official PlayStation keyboard for this? I know Logitech makes PlayStation 2 USB keyboards.

Got a new keyboard/mouse combo when I returned the other.
Wireless, $15. Works beautifully. Just a compatibility issue with the specific keyboard. |
