ps2 keyboard disappears in RH8

I used to have Redhat 8 running wonderfully on my machine. Then I decided to play. I reinstalled Redhat. It all worked fine. I reinstalled Redhat 8 again. The installation went fine, but after the firstboot configuration script ran, my ps2 keyboard stopped working. (it's a logitech ps2/usb keyboard). When I switch from ps2 to usb, Redhat detects it and it works fine, but grub doesn't recognise it, so machine can't boot into windows unless we switch it back to ps/2.
I've reinstalled RH8 several times since then, and still have the same problem.
WHY WHY WHY??? I USED to work good!
