Question Pruning termcap

Hi,
I'm making a boot floppy root file sysetm. So, I've got to prune the file /etc/termcap as it is very large. But, I got no idea. So I looked at the man page of termcap, nad instead of getting an answer I got one more question. The page says that 'tercap' is obsolete and needed for only older programs. Newer programs use /usr/share/terminfo.
Does that mean I'll have to prune both these files? I have a Compaq Deskpro sysetm. So, what should I keep and what to delete.
And do I have to copy this terminfo file in the /usr/share directory of my root file system? I'm confused.

when you boot to linux from a floppy, it would probably be easiest just to download a floppy boot image from the disrtubution you want to use. just make sure that you don't just copy the image straight to the floppy
