prompt sharing...

I have seen in the past two users that could share the same command prompt (enabling them to see and type in the same command line instance) i want to do this in the following settings:

Redhat 9.0

One user(him) is using a terminal window on KDE, the other is connected via ssh, both users are logged in as root.

We want both of us to be able to type in and see the same prompt instance.

How is this done, if at all possible?
Please mention anything required if you have a method to do this.

So if one of you were typing in a command, and the other tried to type something, it'd type simultaneously?

Are you trying to have a PCAnywhere -esque setup?

yes it would type simultaneously, and as i said i am not aware what type of setup this is I just remember seeing it awlile ago on redhat 7.1 except both users were using ssh.

Sorr yofthe double post but the way i unserstand this, the person in the terminal window would have to switch it's virtual console to the ssh one: "/dev/pts/x" but then how is that done?

Since it's specific, the alt-Fx shortcuts can't be used :(

Found a solution by loading a screen and getting the other user to screen -x it. thanks.
