program to run when system shuts down


Where do i put my shell script if i want it to run just before my system shuts down

for example i can put the script in rc.local so that it gets executed when my system starts up

Adding to shutdown script

have a look at .
The trick will be creating a new service (I don't know how, unless it's merely creating a new script in the services directory ?).
'man chkconfig' for more details.
