proFTP Question

Hi,

On my server, I use proFTM for my FTP Server. If I go to upload some files, or quite a few at that, it times out and I have to start the connection all over agin.

How can I fix that?

Thanks

A little too broad to work with. What platform are you on (OS)? Are you running in passive mode? If you're in passive mode, you'll need to open up a port range in your firewall and in your ftp config to make the connection happen. Give us a little more information about the current configuration, and we should be able to help a little more...

Mike.

I am using fedora. I am unsure about the rest

How can I access the FTP config file via putty?

Thanks

log into the box, and type "man proftp" and see what that brings up. I don't use proftp, but my guess is the config file is something like /etc/proftpd/proftpd.conf or something along those lines. The man page should list the conf file at the end.
