I'm have a problem with the monitor's configuration on red hat 8.
When the rh8 try to find the monitor's configuration, it return "unprobe monitor" when it is running anaconda in the instalation, then I try to configurate by myself. I pass to it all the information about the monitor but the problem go on.
The configuration of my machine is:
processor: Pentium III 600
video card: SyS 620
monitor: JD144/145 (IBM PS/2 800x600, 1024x768 non interlaced compatible)
when you give the correct sync rates for your monitor does the system store them? In that case (and provided everything works fine) you shouldn't worry about the pop-up telling you you still haven't configured your monitor. As long as you don't pick one from the list it'll keep telling you that even if it is perfectly configured.
Debtor for the tip linmix but I already passed all the configuration
for it and still he did not function!! : (
I really don't know what's wrong. On my old machine, a Celerom 400 with the same Monitor, it was working very well but now on a pentium III it is down!!
ya, I can get into X, it is as the window was with an interference, as dirt in the screen was had.
When a window confides and it drags it for the screen is a track!
I changed to the monitor for a AOC Spectrum 4v and the RH8 recognized it, but the problem continues!
Where are you from Lucas? Don't apologise about your English just remember that transation programs sometimes produce very strange sentences (Sometimes ther's no problem, although disolve is more like sugar in coffee, you can solve a problem )
