Problems with Redhat
Hi,
I just installed Redhat on one of my computers using the three cd images from the redhat website. I am used to using slackware, and can't figure out how to configure this using bash. One problem I am having is trying to get apropos to work. Everytime I try to use it to to find something it wont work. The command is there but appearntly there is no data base for it. The other problem is commands I used to use to set up the network such as dhcpcd. That command dosent appear to exist on this version of linux. I found a way to configure some of this stuff on kde, but I would really like to be able to do this on bash. If anyone know how to at least get apropos to work, I would apricate that. Thanks, MarleyGPN |
for the network configuration
redhat-config-network, i believe is the command. you can do some reading here https://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/ http://www.ptf.com/ptf/dossier/TC/User_ReH_1.0.1.shtml hope that helps. good luck. |
