Problems with new RH9 Server

We currently have a RH 7.2 server which does our, mail and webserver functions.

we decided to upgrade, so we purchased a new system, I installed redhat 9, most of the configuration is finished for mail and apache...

but when we hook up the new system, and give it the old systems IP address, eth0 is active... but information isnt going out and it isnt coming in. Card is working fine.

Any thoughts?

Do you mean mail?

Can you ping other IPs?

Can other machines ping your server?

Do you have any firewall rule in place?

Are all the required services started?
