Problems With Gnome

I have Mandrake and I just Installed Gnome 2.4 with urpmi, I had gnome 2.2 but I wanted to try the 2.4 version, I add Cooker to my medias, erased the old gnome and installed the new Gnome, I only had this error during the installation of XFree86: "fc-cache: relocation error: /usr/lib/libfontconfig.so.1: undefined symbol: FT_Get_BDF_Property" Now when I boot, I don't have gdm, I have another thing, I think it's xdm, I put my loggin data and when I hit enter I can see the Gnome 2.4 Splashscreen but then the screen become black and it's like the X are restarting. Some ideas?
