problems with dates


i am using suse 7.2.
when i try to change the date (by right clicking on it in kde, and then putting root pword) it seems to work, but when i restart the time goes back to what it was before.

can anyone tell me why, and how to change the date properly.

Check the hardware clock in your bios.
