Hi everybody!

I installed a Canon BJC 1000 under Slackware 8.1 using apsfilter. After
that I was able to print a test page, but that was all... In other words,
from that point I can not print anything else. My gues is that I have to
restart the LPD daemon, but I dont really know how to do it. To make sure
whether the LPD is up and running, I tryied lpq, but the outcomming was
:No printable jobs in quee and "no server active".
On the other hand, if I type
bash-2.05a# ps -ef | grep lpd
lp 93 1 0 Nov29 ? 00:00:00 lpd Waiting
root 3929 3758 0 18:27 pts/0 00:00:00 grep lpd

Could you give me an advise what to do ? Thank you very much,

When you were done did you remember to save the changes? If you just select "quit" apsfilter exits without saving your printer configuration.

After I printed the test page, I clicked "Install" button and after that Quit.
