Question Problems when connected to the net

When I connect to the net - all the program icons on the desktop disapear. When disconnect from the net- all the icon apear again. Any ideas what wrong? I'm using Redhat 9, KDE. My computer has 512mb of memory.

I had the same problem in rh8. I used gnome and everything worked perfectly (is it the same for you?). It must be a kde bug. I liked KDE better and i tried to find a solution. I found one when i stoped using kppp and started using kinternet.
