Problems printing with an Hp LaserJet
 

Hi I've been trying to get printing working properly with my LaserJet 1012 using CUPS and I've gotten things to print before and CUPS test pages to print fine but after rebooting, it seems I have to delete the printer entry and reinstall it all over again to get it working properly I have enclosed the error given to me when trying to print and was hoping someone could help explain this error to me and any possible solutions to it.

A print error occurred. Error message received from system:

/usr/bin/lpr -P 'LaserJet' '-#1' '/tmp/kde-nostrum/kdeprint_QAJzgFaz' : execution failed with message:
lpr: unable to print file: server-error-service-unavailable

Does it say anything usefull in /var/log/cups/error_log? Try editing /etc/cups/cupsd.conf and setting LogLevel to debug. It might tell you what the problem is.
