Problems on running java programs

Hi There,
I have installed the new Red Hat linux 7.1 mainly to get all the programming environments under one single roof. But after installing the same,I find that I am not able to run java code on it.Is it that the latest 7.1 does not support the java run time environment? So does it mean that I won't be able to run java programs on Red Hat 7.1?Or whether I have missed out on something during the installation? Please point out where have gone wrong. And what should be done now to fulfill my requirement.I don't want to install the entire Linux package once more. Please suggest a remedy.

If you had to uninstall and install the operating system over again, they would call it Windows not Redhat. All you have to do is to download the rpm from the sunsite and install it. You dont have to uninstall your operating system. The compiler might be in the rpm packages too.
