Problems login new users

Hi,

I have two servers, one runs Linux with Samba, and the other runs Windows 2000 Server. Since yesterday, some users are complaining that they can log on to the domain, old users don't have any problems logging in, that is until they decided to change their passwords or if their passwords expire, I had created fake users to see if I can login with them and nothing.

When I try to change the password for new users I get a massege that says : Windows can not complete the password change for [user here] because: The password does not meet the password policy requirements.

I tried with long and complex passwords but it says the same.

I have not problems login on the linux server using telnet.

I need your help on this one guys.

sounds like your policies are a lot like mine.

Try a password that has numbers, letters, maybe different case, at least one symbol, and must not contain the username.

It probably does not need to be incredably long, 6 to 8 characters should be cool.
