Problems After Unzipping

I just finished unzipping a .tar.gz file. The unzipping process went smoothly, but I can't find the file needed to actually run the program. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You have to compile it now... Read the thread at the top of this forum regarding installing programs in Linux.

You should however find a INSTALL or README file in the unzipped directory, read those as it will give you specific instructions to install whatever you are installing.

Most of the time its just a simple:

make install
