Hi,
I have XP and RHEL3 installed in my P.C. My XP got
crashed and i need to replace my boot.ini file with a new one.
I tried to mount my drive with fs type as ntfs. So i can't replace
that file. Then i downloaded ntfs-3g for RHEL 3 and when tried to
run the command ntfs-3g /dev/hdd1 /mnt/windows , i'm getting the below error message
modprobe: Can't locate module fuse
ntfs-3g-mount: fuse device is missing, try 'modprobe fuse' as root
Can any one tell me how to mount a windows drive with write permission
in RHEL3?

Hard to follow your question, but have you tried what the error message said to try ("modprobe fuse")????
Actually, RHEL 3 isn't quite dead yet: http://www.redhat.com/security/updates/errata/
OTOH, RHEL doesn't support NTFS drivers at all for legal reasons.
You may(!) be able to get ntfs-3g+fuse to work, but it won't be supported by RH.
"RHEL 3 isn't quite dead yet"
i noticed that on a diff thread , it is just standard updates rh in not doing in
"production 3".
ther are still doing security updates for 1 more year
