Curious - it started out alike that, but has become a general DVD authoring tool since then.

Hmmm... iso9660 has a max limit of 4gig. If you use growisofs -udf you may avoid this. Or use udftools instead.

Or... use smaller file sizes.

Sure... you can drag the archive's icon across to supported media.

Perhaps you want to create a backup archive?

1. do not use such large backup files. Eggs... basket... right?
2. there are a great many backup options and tools... rsync is very popular for backing up large systems.
3. reread my lecture about strategies... you are still thinking of the problem in terms of available solutions. Do it the other way around - what are you trying to achieve. (Defining the problem is actually the hard part - put some effort into it). What do you need copies of and why?
